LINCOLN COUNTY, WV – According to officers with the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a 8th grade student at Harts PreK-8 is being charged in connection to making a “substantial” school threat.

Because the student is a minor, not many details are being released regarding the case, but officers said they are “doing what they can to make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

The young girl was arrested early Thursday morning, October 8, at the school.  There were rumors that the child had a gun at school, officers said those are false.  The school was not placed on lock down.

She is appearing in front of Judge Hoke, officers said.  She is to be charged with making terrorist threats.
