STUDY SAYS WEST VIRGINIA CHILDREN LEAST EDUCATED IN USA

WalletHub’s latest study places West Virginia students as the least educated in the USA.
Most Americans believe a good education is the ticket to a better future and that college opens doors to better career opportunities, higher earnings and new social connections, among other benefits.

Generally, the higher the level of education one attains, the more income potential grows and the lower chances of unemployment become.

In this study, WalletHub’s analysts examined the key determinants of a well-educated population: educational attainment, school quality, and achievement gaps between genders and races.

The study compared all 50 states across 11 total metrics grouped by category.

Calhoun Schools are saying that student achievement is improving, although the current metrics of performance measures numerous in other areas besides academic to reach a performance level.

In 2011, Calhoun Schools appeared to be among the worst performing school systems in West Virginia, using the metrics of that time, while school officials maintain significant improvement.
